Regret what?

Just think, instead of having Kouyate in our team, we'll have a football player.

I hope we don't live to regret this but if Pellegrino decides he doesn't want him then I will go along with his choice, for awhile.

We need a replacement sharpish. Preferably a player who knows how to play dm.

It's a shame our last 2 managers hadn't noticed though Gavros!

I'll bet Woy coaches him individually so that Kouyate learns to cover less ground and be able to save some energy to put into passing the ball.....

The important thing to note is that Pellegrini has seen Kouyate's limitations early and acted accordingly.

Has been part of our great seasons He as well as the fans have been let down by lack of investment in the last 2 seasons. Would be better with better players around him!

Re: Koyate's gone...
The title of this thread not only misspelt his name but was missing the word "Where's" at the beginning because that has been what I and many have been yelling at many games over the last 2 seasons as we get cut open in the midfield :-)

To be fair he had some good games and moments but even in his first 2 seasons was always a tad inconsistent. But he was a decent player to have at the time and has given some good moments so will get a decent response when he returns with Palace no doubt.

Re: Koyate's gone...
No player has ever earned me more money than Kouyate. I stick a bet on every Hammers game, an each way fiver on first goal scorer. Kouyate has delivered at 33-1, 50-1 and most memorably 66-1 away at Arsenal. I have golf clubs and guitars that will always remind me of Kouyate so for that reason I've always liked him and tended to be kinder in my comments about him. A midfield Wanchope!

I think we should just setup a £10m Direct Debit with Palace, they give us £10m each season and we send them our dross.

I wonder if he's still hanging out of the back of Fanny Neguesha.

We've had a couple of big personalities leave this summer, along with Collins going.

Not that it should matter though, as long as we bring in better quality.

Hindsight is great but remember this is a spectator-based business. Selling your best-performing players at their height is a gut punch to supporters who have little else.

If we are challenging for trophies and we needed one more piece elsewhere or if someone somehow decided to offer us Bal -like money for one of our players, it is a consideration.

But there is so little loyalty in the game on all sides, I will take a few "mistakes" like Kouyate's last two years if it means there is a little bit more in my team.
